Peru has become a global leader in ethical and sustainable coffee production. Despite facing infrastructure challenges in many rural regions, farmers have built strong local cooperatives that allow them to reach international markets and receive fair prices for their coffee.
Through these cooperatives, producers gain access to better resources, fair wages, and improved living standards for their communities. This commitment to sustainability has helped Peru become one of the world’s largest producers of certified organic, Rainforest Alliance certified, and UTZ Certified certified coffee.
Today, coffee supports nearly one million jobs across Peru. Grown at high altitudes and carefully handpicked by dedicated farmers, Peruvian coffee is celebrated for both the care behind its production and the exceptional quality found in every cup.
